JAMES B. CHRISTOPH PRIZE for the Best Conference Paper on British Politics by a Junior Faculty Member
The British Politics Group invites applications for the seventh annual James B. Christoph Prize for the Best Conference Paper on British Politics presented by a junior faculty member. The paper (or poster) must have been presented at a conference during the calendar year 2009. All papers on British politics, whether solely on Britain or comparative, are eligible. For the purposes of the award, a ‘junior faculty member’ is defined as having been granted his or her Ph.D. within the last 10 years. All applicants must be members of the British Politics Group (can join upon submission). Only one paper may be submitted per person. Details of past winners are below.
The winner will receive a $200 US prize and a certificate of their accomplishment. The winner will be selected by a three-person committee of established British politics scholars. The prize is named in honor of the late James B. Christoph, a leading scholar and former President of the BPG.
Those wishing to be considered for the prize should submit an electronic copy of the paper by April 1, 2010. Submissions should be sent to:
